How Deep Is Your Love?

Or in this case, words.

I've been tagged.

Doug Hoffman of SHATTER fame tagged me to do a 'meme' (hey someone want to tell me exactly where the word meme came from?), the rules are as follows:

1. Delve into your blog archive.

2. Find your 23rd post (or closest to).

3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).

4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions. Ponder it for meaning, subtext or hidden agendas…

5. Tag five people to do the same.

My 23rd post was Just Another Brick in the Wall, the fifth line was, Major meltdown happening right now as i try to get my shit together to pitch my manuscripts.

Oddly enough the sentence is fairly self explanitory and expressive. There is no hidden meaning, subliminal or otherwise. There is however a typo which I've left in for posteriy's sake.

Now, onto the final part of the meme, spreading the PITA around.

Tagged are Dee, Lyn Cash, Bron, Rae, and AnnWH (Jenne and Nicki, I'm almost certain neither of you have 23 posts)

Have fun

X

From Meme Central, my favorite meme info source:

Memes are the basic building blocks of our minds and culture, in the same way that genes are the basic building blocks of biological life.

Richard Dawkins coined it in his 1976 classic, The Selfish Gene. The idea is that memes are bits of information, or ideas, that have an infectious property. The classic meme is the tune you hum because you heard it on a commercial & now YOU'RE humming it, and soon all your friends will be humming it too.

Religions are systems of memes. These can be successful systems (Christianity, Islam) if they infect lots of people, or unsuccessful, if e.g. they advocate absolute celibacy.

The word is appropriately used for blog memes. These are chain letters, when you get right down to it, but chain letters are, indeed, memes.

More than you wanted to know, eh?

Interesting info on the meme, Doug! I actually did this one a couple of days ago. Beat ya to it, X. But I never tag anyone. I'm pretty lame that way.

saddly, just short of 23 posts. :) The hidden meaning is that I don't have enough time on my hands, right? ;)

Thanks Doug, appreciate it.

Ann, you sod. Stop being ahead of me.

Of course it does, Jenne. Just as when I say I'm cleaning my house, the end result will be that my house is clean.

LMAO 23 posts, not even close!

Must start blogging again.

Nicki

You know, if I ever did anything interesting with my life, I'd have to beat the crap out of you for doing this to me, lol.

I take no responsibility whatsoever for what happens to the planet when I have to count beyond my own God-given digits.

Give me til Wednesday, lol...it'll take me that long to count to 28. LOL!

Smooches,
Dee

You are such a bitch - lol. I'll have you know that I do have 23...in fact, I have 25...blog posts. So there.

It's not doing something that matters - it's doing what counts.

Pondering its meaning, subtex, or hidden agenda...

I was in a good space that day. I'd finally done what needed to be done and had stopped spinning my wheels traveling where I didn't want to go. The blog was about fresh starts, hopefully with the feeling that even though we've screwed up prior to that moment, we can get a fresh start any day/moment of the year. I just didn't want to wait till January 1st - lol. I'd had an epiphany and had done something I'd been putting off for ages.
